Beautiful historic harbour
Apr 2021 • Family
Beautiful harbour with pretty historic houses and lots of restaurants. Definitely worth wondering up this way if you’re in Weymouth. Steeped in history which we learned more about during our visit to the fort.

Gorgeous views and bustling vibe

Great views of the multi-coloured houses along the quay, lots of little streets and quay-front restaurants, it’s a very beautiful harbour.

The only half decent thing about Weymouth the rest of the town is grubby and tired looking a has been town , and the harbour doesn't really look that picturesque

Unspoilt working harbour with lots to see and do.
Dec 2020
What I love about this harbour in particular is that it's an unpretentious working harbour ,and has pretty much stayed unchanged. The Georgian terraced houses make a pretty view on the shady side on the sunny side there are lots of interesting buildings including customs House .The harbour very much reminds me of the bridge and Careenage of Barbados.

So cute and full of character

This quaint harbour is well worth walking around. Little shops, pubs, restaurants and boats of course. In winter parking was really easy right on the street in summer it may be trickier.

Our view
Dec 2020 • Couples
We stayed in a hotel with a room overlooking the harbour. Even in the freezing cold windows a lovely place to walk around. Imagine out of lockdown its thriving with the bars busy. Lots to see and we were lucky with parking too.

Never tire of this place
Nov 2020
We took our granddaughter down to the harbour to experience crabbing. I have been to Weymouth many times over the years and I will never tire of it. Even during these COVID-19 times it was still bustling with activity. We walked around the harbour and done some crabbing before catching a rowing boat back across the harbour for a couple of pounds which my granddaughter really loved. Plenty of shops and excellent eating establishments in the vicinity. It was a shame we missed out on the bridge lifting up but hopefully there will be another time

Wonderful Weymouth
Oct 2020
Such a wonderful place always things to see going on as it’s a working harbour with fishing boats, Life boat also pleasure craft coming and going all the time. Quiet a sight to see the bridge rise up several times a day. It’s lovely to sit outside one of the many pubs and have a drink and watch what’s going.

Lovely old harbour....
Sep 2020 • Couples
The old harbour area of Weymouth is lovely! Old fishermen’s cottages, little shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants make the place quiet buzzing.
If you are lucky you might be there when a boat arrives back with its catch & you can watch lobster & crabs being unloaded.
There is a ferry across (rowing boat) from one side to the other, takes about 6 passengers at a time. A great experience chatting to Bob the guy that still rows the boat all day long even though he’s in his 70’s!
Lots of good photo opportunities!

Pleasant place for a nice stroll especially if you have the weather on your side. Plenty of eating and drinking establishments with both indoor and outdoor seating.
