We have small museums about the 1st and 2nd World Wars in the first two floors. The third floor we can find a lady playing the 47 bells through cords. It's amazing. We can even choose some melodies from the books so she can play...More

If you have an interest in WW1 & WW2 memorabilia then this is definitely worth a look. The volunteer guides are very knowledgeable about the artefacts. If you have the legs for it, then walk to the top for a great view over Loughborough.

Great History place to visit. Seeing as the Carillon is in my home town it’s wildly know land mark for Loughborough. Well worth a visit.

Great little museum and observation for the carillon bells. Worth goin to watch the carillonneur play and climb up the tower. Also worth going on Remembrance Sunday to the service - huge numbers still gather for a moving service as poppies fall from the tower.

The view from the top is well worth the £1 you pay to climb the stairs. It's a shame that today the doors to the rooms on the way up were all locked so didn't get to see a lot of it.

Glad you enjoyed the visit and I apologies for the locked rooms, the museum is run by volunteers and just occasionally there is no volunteer available.

I visited the Carillon with two young children. It was very interesting and beautifully located in Queen's Park which also has plenty to see and do in. The staff were very helpful and suggested we came back a little later as the organist was playing...More

YOU don't have to be expected military to appreciate the displays of war memorabilia on show: cavalry war horse, working rifle, numerous battalion crests, to name a few. The pinnacle has to be the carrillion, those who don't know it's a piano esq played bell...More
