Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasant and rather informal museum, run by volunteers. Lot of rather amateur displays of local history and artefacts, including lots on C18 Lowestoft pottery, in a pleasant old flint house. Books for sale to raise funds. Worth a visit. Not open mornings

Interesting range of unusual historical artefacts, stemming back to the Bronze Age. Clearly explained information and very accessible. Free to visit and a lovely addition to Nicolas Everitt Park.

Popped in today whilst at the park having walked past many times, very welcoming staff. My children really enjoyed looking around and using the dice to find different objects in the rooms.

Popped in recently for a look around whilst in the area, didn't know the museum was here just kind of stumbled across it. Great little museum, worth a visit if you are nearby.

So pleased that the museum was opened when we visited Lowestoft. Lots of interesting things to look at and not all to do with Lowestoft. Worth a visit.

This museum is jam-packed with so many items and so much information of interest that I spent at least 2 hours there.

My wife and I have seen this museum many times when walking around the park and have always thought we should go in. As it closes for the winter we decided to go in before it did. Entry is free although there are a couple of donation boxes. It looks quite small from the outside but is deceptive as there is alot to see including some very old artifacts. We only had a hour before it closed so did go around quite quickly. There is something of interest for most people and us a recommended look!

I went here with a friend and we really enjoyed having a look round The Lowestoft Museum... It's a grade II listed building and there are so many different and interesting artefacts... I will return.

Great little place at Oulton Broads. Had only parked for an hour to view the boats and a stroll round the park and found this (little) museum. Lovely historic facts, pictures & items- not too time consuming to look round but if into reading everything you could easily spend more time there plus it was free entry

Hi Emma,
There is 1hr free parking in the crescent-shaped car park at the entrance to Nicholas Everitt Park, going up to £1 per hour after that.
The other car parks nearby are Nicholas Everitt and the Boulevard which charge £1 per hour.
All of these are about 2 minutes slow walk through the park to get to the museum.
