Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a dinky little museum and is manned by volunteers.
There are so many excellent little displays set over a couple of floors.
Well worth a visit.

Excellent Agatha Christie experience.

We joined in the museums murder mystery challenge this evening, especially for Agatha Christie weekend. It was superb such fun. Lots of interesting exhibits in the museum, which is a bit like a Tardis. Including a
Miniature of Wallingford Castle some old shops and a recreated little school area upstairs. Some fabulous Agatha Christie memorabilia here too including her pestle and mortar that she used when training to be a pharmacist. Staff were really knowledgeable helpful and brought it all to life.

I've been meaning to visit this gem for years...and eventually got to do so today!
So much extraordinary history packed into this place....don't be deceived by the modest frontage....I spent over an hour in there and could have easily spent a second.

Great exhibits for kids, fans of Agatha Christie, Midsomer and of course the medieval history that surrounds the castle. In sight into more recent evolution of the town and the buildings too....loved it.

PLUS... your ticket allows free access for a full year! I loved it, and the staff on the front desk were lovely too!

Currently closed due to the Covid19, which was a pity as we were looking forward to visiting it. A bit more updated information on their website would have been useful.

I had not visited for a number of years but was impressed by the quality of the exhibits and the presentation showing how the town has changed over the centuries.

I have not been to Wallingford museum in years. It was interesting popping in over the bunkfest weekend. Enjoyed seeing a picture of the original wallingford castle, the chest was incredible and we enjoyed the Agatha Christie and Midsomer Murders exhibition. It was not too much to walk around.

A huge range of history here from dinosaurs to factory there is something for everyone. The staff all around the museum are incredibly friendly and seem to really enjoy answering any questions. As well as great exhibits and displays a lot of it is interactive so your kids can get stuck in too.

A very small museum with letters written by Agatha Christie as well as exhibits relating to her life in the town.

I did not realise how important Wallingford was historically and the staff were very knowledgeable.
