Lovely little cafe, very friendly staff and the meals are well cooked. Just off from the main high street, excellent if you just want a coffee and a sandwich.

Where else could you walk through a town centre and find a perfectly restored example of one of the early tanks? Ashford in Kent has one, there in all its glory. It's a wonderful tribute to the men who fought in the first World War

There's not much to say about this. A square off the main shopping street contains a WW1 tank as its centre-piece. You can't get in it or climb on it (or at least you shouldn't) and whilst it is well kept you can't get away...More

Hidden just off the main town shopping area this externally restored tank from WW1 has been on display for many years.

You can view this tank free of charge as it is in the town centre, a great reminder of the lives given in the first world war

A WW1 tank in a city centre - is it worth to see? Yes, the pure size is amazing and great for the brave kids to climb upon.

In the middle of the square an impressive World War 1 Tank that was put there to commemorate the areas contributions to the war effort.

A surprise to be found in the town centre of Ashford and is probably the only attraction the town centre has with its poor selection of shops and empty stores. This is a well preserved and presented WW1 piece of history but could do with...More

It's quite impressive that a piece of WW1 history has been preserved in Ashford however I could not find any information on why it is in Ashford, how it got here and does it have any local significance. That said it's not something you see...More
