Stumbled onto the Thursday market which seems to be predominantly in the caste square and streets around. Rather a mix with food stalls through to tat. Nice cheeses available and the fish looked nice but was running low when we arrived.

Small in centre of town but one where one can as a tourist buy socks made in UK, purchase local produce, cheeses etc and craft. Flat walking, no parking in street but nearby. Locals do also support - love this market.

We enjoyed the market, combined with time spent browsing through the bookshops. We spent about 4 hours in town in total, but the kids were pushed to their limits in terms of book browsing. I could have spent many more hours without them.

The market square is where everyone walks through and stops to chat and browse. The market stall holders are friendly and helpful.
