Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quickest way to get to the beach if you are coming from the train station. Beautiful view and nice walk. But get ready, your way up will not be as easy as your way down

Had a lovely walk before work, beautiful place and spectacular views. A great place to unwind. Quite steep in parts but well worth it

Far too many drunks and druggies to feel safe here! ok if you have your own security personnel,,, best avoided ,, other towns far safer.

This a lovely walk especially if part of a circuit of the town. It zig zags all the way to the beach, unfortunately all the heart of the seafront has now gone and there is now a big monstrosity being built. The harbour is still lovely but a shadow of its former self

A nice walk along a literal zig zag path. Be sure to have some water on a hot day as it can be slightly tiering

One of our favourite walk where we take the zig zag path to the promenade and then walk to the harbour arm and then through the town and back along the leas

Lovely place to walk ... who designed was very creative and is nicely done. I feel like walk inside the rocks... I must say needs to be a bit tidy some of the trees are covering some view points.. maybe needs to have some more plants and flowers. Highly recommend to visit this place. Ideal to walk or do exercises... is good as well for families with kids when you arrive at the end of the path around beach level you have a nice playground ideal for kids to enjoy.

You can find this path either from the Lower Leas path or from the top of The Leas. It is easily found from the top as it located by The Bandstand. It is a lovely path, well maintained which does exactly what it says... it Zig Zags up (or down), and you climb up easily without realising how quickly you make it up. It is not overly steep and there are resting places along the way, along with some ‘caves’ which the kids will enjoy. The Zig Zag path is a lovely route to use either up or down.

It is an interesting walk up this pathway which is well maintained and has lots of interesting plants, walls and a couple of small man made caves. Not too steep and plenty of places to stop.
