This beautiful village pub, very quaint and 0ld worlde has a tasty and well balanced menu, something for everyone. The garden is outstanding since the new patio with pontoon lighting for the evening. Staff are friendly and attentive I would recommend it to anyone.
Service - the waitresses were very friendly and helpful but clearly the kitchen is not working very efficiently as all meals slow to arrive.
The gamey pie was delicious, but as for the chocolate fondant it was a disgrace - FONDANT?? No fondant at all....More
We went here for a drink the other night and whilst the wine was nice, it was almost £8 and a round of 3 drinks was over £15. I feel it was overpriced for the drinks and the ambianceMore

A superb meal. My daughter is on a no carb diet and asked for a plain burger with no bun or fries. This was beautifully presented with a really lovely salad. I had the duck from the menu and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Went off this place under previous management, and had not been totally persuaded by new management/ chef until recently. Calmer, sensible realistic menu offerings all beautifully cooked by a chef who seems to really want to give his customers good-tasting food.
