This was a great little museum, but sadly it has now closed down, so there's no point in going there. "Mind you, it could be a great business opportunity!" said the lady at tourist information!

I only saw the museum through the window but it looked a bit tired and dusty. There were some interesting items that I remembered from my childhood but it was a bit drab and not overly inviting - it didn't make me want to go...More

Very interesting and informative visit which can bring back memories,I had one of those or my parents had one of those you see lots of things like that. And there is a lot more to look at than the shopfront suggests. Take a look!

This was an excellent way of spending an hour or two, especially on a winter's day, recalling days of yesteryear with the wide variety of exhibits on show. Sadly the owners wanted to retire, couldn't find a buyer, so the entire contents of the museum...More

As we were in Eastbourne for the weekend we wanted to include a visit to museum of shops but found a notice on the door saying due to retirement place is now permanently closed (27/01/17) ....such a shame!

Visited Eastbourne great place ,decided to visit the musuem was greated by a very rude young lady at entrance who thought she was above anyone else ruined day and visit

Great little museum, as you walk in, it really feels like you've gone back in time, as you're surrounded by realistic model shops filled with items from the past. would definitely recommend to Eastbourne residents and visitors to Eastbourne.
