An easy to moderate hike; 2-3 hours. Took lots of pictures because the panoramas are truly breathtaking. Thought these views were genuinley more interesting and epic than the Aksla view. You see multiple fjord mouths, the wide open ocean, all of Alesund and more from...More

Best view for seeing Aalesund! The hike takes about 45 minutes and it’s not easy, but it’s worth it!!

Uteguiden Activity Centre Alesund (uteguiden.com) has e-bikes or 21 speed. We rented for 4 hours and biked around the island counterclockwise, away from the downtown area to avoid traffic (don’t want to be THAT person slowing down cars!). Storhaugen Park is a nice uphill gravel...More

Sukkertoppen Is a famous destination for visitors to Ålesund Norway. I wasn’t going to do it. I’ve hiked in lovely places all over Europe. I was a little tired. But I decided I might as well since I was here. My goodness. Am I ever...More

This a great hike that more or less anyone can manage. If you only have a couple of hours but still want to be active and see Ålesund from a different side, this is a good choice.

This hike has some climbing but you end up with a beautiful view of the ocean with the city of Alesund behind you. It isn't a long hike but does climb quite a bit. Very highly recommended.

Someone else reported no 618 bus and ask the driver to be sure you're going in the right direction. Ask to be let off at the school and there is a hiker sign.
