Fløyen is a must do while in Bergen. Fløibanen, the funicular brings you up the hillside, from Bergen city centre to the top of the mountain in 6 minutes. At Mount Fløyen you will find beautiful views of Bergen, the nearby islands, fjords and mountains surrounding Bergen. Fløyen is a great destination for hiking, mountain biking and soft adventures. We are surrounded by hillsides, mountains, forests, nice little lakes and numerous trails. We offer daily guided hikes “Hiking Mount Fløyen" and Mountain bike rental from mid June until mid August. We love children, and the children love Fløyen. Let the kids explore our playground, Fløysletten climbing playground, the Troll forest. Try out canoe paddling at lake Skomakerdiket (mid June - mid August), feel the adrenalin rush in FløyenKids ziplinepark and get at kiss from our lovely goats at Fløyen. Fløistuen shop and cafè have souvenirs, perfect gifts and memories from Bergen and Norway. We offer local food as “Fløyenbollen", the cinnamon-bun and our organic soup “Fløyensuppen". Fløien Folkerestaurant is open daily from May until September.

Beat the queues and arrive before 10:00 am. The trip takes around 6 minutes and has lovely views on the way. Reaching the summit, there are viewpoints overlooking Bergen and the Fjords. There is the usual Restaurant and Souvenier shop for the visitors. Bought the...More

Lines can be long for the funicular but the view at the top is worth it. Also take the short walk through the forest to the lake (follow signage). Lovely scenery.

Buy a one way ticket or walk both ways! We did not buy our tickets in advance but only had about a 10-15 minute wait - there was free WiFi so we just browsed about walks we could do at the top while we waited....More

We took the little train up but walked beck down after our 2 hours hiking and our picnic. Beautiful panoramic view of Bergen. Line fir train was only 20 minutes and the walk down is very pretty.

Don’t miss this spectacular view of Bergen. There are all kinds of concessions at the top if you like that kind of thing. But they don’t distract from the spectacular views. The funicular to the top is fun and makes it easy.

We came quite early in the morning of this very sunny day and decided to take the funicular up Mount Floyen. The line started way down the street and in all it took us 1 hour to finally make it to the funicular. The ride...More

Definitely worth the trip up as it's a beautiful view below. We were silly as we didn't realize the sun didn't set till 11:30pm! So make sure you adjust your timing based on when you want to take pictures.

Definitely buy tickets on line. And when you get there, you need to push through/past the queue and walk right into the right hand side of the terminal and up to the train. Don’t stand in the queue which is for those... More

You can hire bikes from the top. By the way, most Norwegians speak English, so calling them should not be a problem.
