A tranquil park, just behind the King's residence, is a quiet, wooded space worth a walk. It features a bronze of the Queen perched on a rock with her rucksack...taking a break from one of her famous hikes.

We enjoyed a short walk around the park after we looked at the palace. There are several paths underneath shady canopy. At least the section that we were in could have used a few benches to sit and enjoy the views.

A very large park set close to the royal palace, great for walking or picnicking in the summer months.

It is worth taking a walk in these royal gardens and enjoy some quiet times. There are some beautiful sculptures all year round and temporary exhibitions.

Little but charming park right by the Royal Palace. A visit is strongly advised above all in the summer. Relax and enjoy!

The palace park surrounds the Royal Palace. It is well worth the walk through it to get to other areas. A easy walk from downtown.

Not an attraction on it's own, but as part of a visit to the Palace (and the long hill up to it). Enjoy the beautiful, quiet park. Water features. Very pleasant.

This beautiful park around the king's palace is open to all. There are families, sunbathers, walkers, cyclists, tourist groups, of course, business people walking into town. Every time I am in Oslo...about 25 times so far, I walk through this park, and enjoy the scenery...More

Very nice and well kept park- the greenery and flowers are quite stunning. The statues around the park add to the beauty as well. Makes a wonderful spot to sit and rest.

Hi, My best guess would be around 1,5 kilometers from the main cruise terminal by Akershus fortress. Best wishes, Liv Osmundsen - Webeditor at the Royal Palace
