We visited the botanic gardens on a sunny day in June. There weren’t many flowers but the gardens were very pleasant and I particularly liked the Viking garden which included interesting display boards (in English as well as Norwegian) explaining what plants the Vikings used...More

Although not spectacular this park is a real pleasure. It is well laid out and the documentation (in English as well) on the origins of the different plants and trees is a model of digestible botanic education. The park is informal and an ideal place...More

Lovely kept grounds, lots of variety. Great for grownups on a walk or kids running around. Very original and alive.

Great place for realaxing. You are as close the the nature and still in middel of Oslo. Nice flowers, different birds. Excelent for a lunch in the nature or buy an iscream and chill. No entrance fee.

This park is so relaxing and quiet during the weekends compared to other parks in the city. It’s quite romantic too, perfect for a date. Beware of the electric lawnmower, it might attack you ;)

Beautiful botanical garden with lovely flowers and exotic plants. Worth a visit. You can have a small picnic in this garden just bring your own food as the food in there resturent is overpriced.
