The Akerselva River flows through Oslo. There is a wonderful river pedestrian footpath along the river. At Grünerløkka there are several picturesque waterfalls cascading past several restaurants. Well worth a hike out to this location along the river bank.
It’s impressive how much you can be amazed by a waterfall. But when you see it in the middle of apartment blocks and normal city pace, it actually reminds you of nature’s beauty.

Follow the river up to Vulkan 11 and hear the raging waters before you see them. Really enjoyed this waterfall. Not big by any means, but there are kids playing at the small water park next to it even in the rain and cold.
