Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Saw lots of orcas and a humpback whale at the end.

Only negative was guide was a bit off and didnt talk to us much.

When you arrive you change into the gear they provide and he was quite rude/ not helpful. Don't think he is the only whale watching guide on this tour but unfortunately didnt have a great experience with him.

Had the occasion to tour the Fjords of Norway into the Arctic circle this month. Took an excursion in a RIB excursion boT dressed in Dry Suits. We ventured out into a fjord where the outfitter had already set a net with bait. We pulled up the trap to some 12-15 large red Arctic king crabs. Leaving the females and one large male we went onshore to a small old looking hut. There the remaining crabs were cleaned and the legs steamed for our lunch. Inside the cottage it was prestige and set with formal table settings. Lot’s of memorabilia on the walls. One did not need any butter or sauce with this crab as it was very sweet and plentiful. We got about an hour of history, learned about this crab and the industry and a great meal. Took the boat back to the harbor and called it a day. A great time with great food, fun and adventure. If you were crabby before you came here, one surely had a smile when we left. Highly recommend the experience. Enjoy!!

Where to start? We were prewarned ahead of time that the weather forecast of strong winds would mean a very choppy ride at sea with a possibility of not seeing whales (at a time were the probability is meant to be 90%) which was obviously disheartening and concerning as a sufferer of sea sickness. However I thought them giving people an informed choice to go ahead or be issued a refund was really good and fair. Me and my partner decided to take the risk and go due to basing our whole trip on seeing Orcas’s and we were not disappointed. Two hours at sea, with conditions much better than anticipated and we were in luck and it has been the highlight of my trip to Tromsø, I’m in ore and completely thankful that the knowable captain was able to find them. The cabin itself it’s comfortable and on the ride out you are given some really informative information. It’s worth every single penny!!

My advice is - do not join this tour on a bad weather day - just don't.

After putting on the warm suits and glasses, my friend and I boarded the RIB (rubber inflatable boat), the seats were definitely not comfortable, it kept us standing for 4 hours throughout the journey - we weren't able to move away from our seats AT ALL, but I had to admit that they have definitely kept us safe.

The weather was very bad that day, there had been some waves and we felt like we were playing jet ski in the middle of the arctic ocean (which was quite fun actually, if you don't count the wind and the rain in). The captain has tried to stop near some coves and shores in the hope of spotting some whales, but the weather was too bad and we saw our first orca after at least 1.5 hours after departure.

We have only spotted 2-3 orcas with distance in a cove and we couldn't approach them due to the strong waves. And the captain has not spoken throughout the journey, probably cuz the condition was really bad!

The inbound journey was absolutely horrible - it was raining hard and the wind was so strong that we had to keep our heads down all the time.

In general, it was a fun experience. I have seen a lot of nice comments about this tour, but I guess we lacked some luck on our visit,

I have never felt so close to pure nature as I have on this incredible tour. Being so close to so many whales and hearing their sounds was magical. Great time! Can't wait to do it again!

The orcas was so amazing to observe at close range. We saw spy hopping, several baby orcas and the humpback. The large rubber boat felt secure and the floating suits made it comfortable and warm. Looking forward to my next tour!

Breathtaking whale safari!
Whale safari by RIB was the coolest ever!! The whales got so close that we could smell the herring in feeding situations.
Listening to the whales with hydrophone was a new experience as well.
Amazing and professional safari!

The tour was the best whale watching tour we have ever attended (so far we've been on whale watching tours a couple of times in Spain and Iceland). The company is family owned and altough the whale watching season did not start when we visited Tromso in Oktober, they were the only company that where giving us an exclusive tour.
It was an absolute advantage that the boat was super fast, so we could spend a lot of time together with several Orca pods out on the ocean. Anders, one of the owners is a professional photographer and on the trip he was giving us helpful advice on how to take the best shots. So if you like taking photos this is definitly the best tour for you.
