You step off the boat right into this place, A collection of stuffed animals might not appeal to everyone as some of the comments in the visitor`s book suggest,There are other artefacts on show and it is free.

If visiting it seems a must to become a life member of this club! There is also a good exhibit about the town and surrounding area.

Lovely friendly people. Office and tourist centre was right by the Hurtigruten terminal, steps from the gangway. Easy to join on line then spend time in the mix of shop and tourist office.

Located at the tourist office this is a great little museum. There are plenty of stuffed birds if you are into birds as well as some of the mammals of the area. Info boards with the history makes this a good place to stop.

The Polar Bear Society Museum is located inside the tourist information office at Hammerfest. Entry is free of charge and it is good to walk around and read the information and see many of the stuffed animals and birds found in the region.
