There are Cafés, bakeries, a confectionery, restaurants and nice byways to explore. Don't miss the stairs to the Kapuziner Mountain!

Our hotel was on Linzergasse, and we found that it was a very pleasant pedestrian street, full of shops and a few restaurants. If you have only a half day in Salzburg, I'd stick with Old City Salzburg on the other side of the river,...More

This is smaller then the main Old Town side, but worth venturing to for some nice bakeries and shopping. A quieter area to stay with a couple of large Spar supermarkets and pharmacies.

Stretches out into the more modern part of town but still full of history and interesting to walk along. Quirky little shops, nice cafes, restaurants and fully pedestrianised all make for an enjoyable experience.

Whatever you need seems to be available along Linzer. Enjoy a stroll. Visit an ATM. Ear a gelato. Have a meal. Meet interesting people. You’ll enjoy your time.

Linzergasse is a nice area with lot of shops in the historical centre of Salzburg. We enjoyed very much walking and exploring the old city.

This is a beautiful street with tall merchant’s houses and ornate shop signs. It is quite quiet on a Sunday when almost everything is closed but then you can appreciate the architecture.

Linzergasse is a narrow lane with shops. Elegant advertising sign of each shop is the thing to look for. Even McDonald has a big metal medieval “M” sign.
