We visited Pathos, partly to visit the archaeological site. Lonely Planet advised to get a guide book, without which much of the site is a pile of rubble. The mosaics were well preserved and some, although not all, well explained. I studied Ancient Civilisations; although,...More

An absolute must if going to Cyprus. The most amazing mosaics I have ever seen in a vast archaeological area. Demonstrates the importance of this area in ancient times. Very cheap entry fee and reduced for pensioners.

Quite a lot of climbing to do up, down, between rocks, litterally pulling myself up in places and with quite a lot of drops involved, but the guide was so informative, the history so clear it was interesting and quite worth a visit.

The archaeological park had lots of buildings and mosaics to see which were fascinating. Some parts were more difficult to access for those with mobility problems.

Very interesting but lucky to have a tour guide. Some fantastic mosaics all the better for being told the Greek myths they portrayed.

A must-see when in Cyprus! Ancient Greek, Roman, Ottoman etc archeological finds, well presented. Plenty of information about each place. You need good comfy shoes to walk around, uneven ground. Difficult wheelchair access.
