Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been coming to this beach for years and there used to be a handrail and easy access stairs to get in and out of the ocean. However, with the construction of the new water breakers, access to the sea has become extremely difficult as handrails and one of the sets of stairs have been removed, leaving no safe way to enter the sea. It’s slippery and dangerous and needs to be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt!!

Such a shame. This used to be a lovely area to swim and had a warm artificial lagoon with breeding areas for fish which you could see in their thousands at the right time. The local council - Chloraka I think - has really messed it up by removing the lagoon and demolishing the showers and toilets. With the rocky beach beyond the sand it is now quite dangerous due to the strong waves though there are no warning signs and no lifeguard. The impact on the fish has been quite dramatic and there are now none in what was a breeding ground. There is also a lot of black seaweed in the water - uggh !

It was beautiful but was full of plastic in the water. Found better beaches and cleaner water. Would recommend exploring different beaches

We stayed at the St George Hotel and Spa, so had direct access from the hotel.
Beds are very comfortable but the beach area is very small and they're building close by so it's not exactly peaceful.
If you do visit, I'd recommend wearing sea shoes as entering the sea is quite rocky under foot, so can be slippery.

Once the works are completed, I'm sure it will be lovely, but not sure when that will be.

Looks a bit like a building site next to the sea. Rusty boat to the right and lots of building material. No kids allowed in St George's resort - narrow beach, not worth a visit

Stayed at St George Hotel for our honeymoon. The beach is small and rocky but beautiful to enjoy in the sun. Went out on a jet ski which was reasonable and the guys renting them out were really helpful. We spend time on sun loungers on the beach and the hotel has its own bar there which is open when the weather is calm

We were staying at the St George Hotel Spa and Beach Resort so this was the nearest beach for us.

Yes its rocky and a bit slippery but if you have water shoes it's not a problem and just adds to the fun you just need to be careful.
Once in the water its a great little spot and if you enjoy a bit of snorkeling there are quite a few fish to see as the water is very clean and clear.

There is a man made breakwater to make it a bit calmer so very safe for swimming. We spent a couple of afternoons enjoying ourselves here just swimming and snorkeling as this isn't a large beach there isn't much space for sunbathing and there are no sunbeds available only those for use by hotel guests.

we were able to park in the harbour (plenty of space) and walk along the harbour, where there were a couple of turtles swimming around the boats. The beach wasn't very busy, but there was the opportunity to go snorkelling. There was a very pleasant cafe overlooking the beach.
