Pleasant to walk around and escape the heat. There are some fine statues and paintings. Most captivating is the head of St John on a pillar with the explanatory letters beside.

If you want to worship, you can sit and meditate or say your prayers. There are beautiful murals on the tower windows and two entrances one on St. Lucia Street. There are about 3 sections and private meditation areas in the church. Photography not allowed...More

The Shipwreck Church is a beautiful church that hasn’t been overrun by tourists and has free entry. This is well worth going to and is a fantastic alternative if you don’t want to pay the overpriced entry for St. John’s.

The small entry door gives no clue to the huge space behind it. Full of beautiful artwork and curios - such as St Paul’s hand (or at least bones from it). Highly recommended.

Beautiful old church. Lovely side chapels and interesting artefacts including a relic of St Paul’s ship that brought him to Malta.

Not the largest church on the island, but lovely and intricate on the inside. It’s tucked away on a side street, which was decorated with banners when we visited in January 2018. The church is undergoing some restoration, but you can still see the fabulousness...More

St. paul's Shipwreck Church is definitely worth a visit. Yes, it's a bit dark, but restoration work is underway. Let your eyes adjust, and you will be rewarded with a pretty Baroque church with hidden gems from lesser-known artists. Plus, on display is the wrist...More

There are many churches in Valletta but definitely take the opportunity to visit St Paul’s Shipwreck, from outside you don’t expect to find this amazing interior.

I am not religious by any means but we stumbled across this church in Valletta and wandered in and I must admit I was taken aback at the sheer beauty of the architecture inside this building. If your in Valletta then go. Best thing to...More

You have to go to the side door and Santa Lucia Street. It is undergoing some renovation which is a bit of a problem but it's still worth the visit. Actually the renovation should be complete by now so I'm enjoy.
