So disappointed with our visit here, we came here 25 years ago for our honeymoon and remember it as a place of calm outstanding beauty. It’s not like that anymore! Firstly a very treacherous walk from the boat over rocks and tiny places to put...More

All lovely to see! However you must be careful when you are near the Blue Lagoon especially if you do a boat tour! You may not be told that there are jelly fishes and few people have been stung! (Including myself and a friend pretty...More

Way too many people, there's literally no space to lie down and relax because it's just too crowded. It smells bad and there are lots of cigarettes in the ground. Could be very beautiful if there were less people.

Ok. So you need to do your HW well before you visit this awesome place which may remind you somewhat of the Bahamas I guess with the added crowds that the place attracts. Best to avoid weekends and July - August if you hate crowds....More

Whilst the blue lagoon is naturally a very beautiful place - it is impossible to enjoy. The beach areas are very small, with every inch taken up by overly expensive sunbeds and umbrellas (between €15 - €20 for both). It's difficult to walk up the...More

I think it’s possible to hire a boat privately and stay there till later in the evening or it might be worth seeing if you can stay overnight in the hotel near Blue Lagoon.
