Neighbourhood: Miðborg
Miðborg, Reykjavik's city center, is a testament to the country's rich history and thriving contemporary culture. The neighborhood is home to the striking Hallgrímskirkja church, a symbol of Iceland's resilience and unique architectural style. It offers a tapestry of dining experiences, from traditional Icelandic cuisine at restaurants like Grillmarkaðurinn to the modern, innovative dishes at Dill Restaurant. The Reykjavík Art Museum and National Museum of Iceland exhibit the country's artistic and historical narratives. With a well-connected network of buses and bike rentals available, navigating Miðborg is a breeze. The neighborhood comes alive in the evening when the streets fill with music from live shows at Harpa Concert Hall and spontaneous performances by local artists.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time visiting a nightclub in Reykjavik. Went on a Tuesday night and there was karaoke. My American ears were surprised to hear many singers covering songs from Avril Lavigne, Grease, and many other well-known artists. This was my first time travelling outside the continental north America. Was interesting to see these college aged kids knowing all lyrics to songs from other countries.

Walking around downtown Reykjavik and stumbled on to this little gem. There was a jazz jam session and the music was awesome. A vey nice venue away from the touristy spots to have a drink while enjoying live music.

We found this bar on the Appy Hour App of Reykjavik. Only some of the beers are on the happy hour deal so ask - or check out the board.
Has a gothic, grungy feel, and good music.
They are also a live music venue but nothing on when we were there.

Great vibes on a Monday night, each Monday at 9 pm there's a jazz jam session, with high quality artists.
Perfect atmosphere to drink a beer or a whisky, although the choice is not very very wide, it's absolutely the place where to be to not feel as a tourist but more as a local.

It's a bit of a dive, but the beer prices are right at happy hour. I went back on a Monday night for the jazz and was blown away by the talent in the house band. Get there early for the live music, the place will be standing room only.

We found this little gem on a tuesday night in Reykjavik and were not disapointed. Happy hour until 9pm and a live band who played until we left.
The atmosphere was really relaxed with locals of all ages out for a few drink with friends.

Spent a night here whilst holidaying in Reykjavik. Nice bar with good atmosphere, and a great spot for live music. Drinks deal all night made it pretty affordable too :)

Cool venue for small bands, we came here on a Friday night and the band finished around midnight. Then it opened up into a dance party and the DJ mixed a bunch of 90's music. We had a BLAST dancing, and the party was still going when we left at 4AM!

this is a great little bar for a drink/live music. We came across it by chance on the night of Grapevine Music awards. Very friendly staff and a good place to catch one of Iceland's many bands.

Well is ok probably a great spot for locals, I am not from Iceland and is a great place to see locals but not as interesting for outsiders.
