The City Hall has a great tourist information office and public display about the evolution of community planning in Reykjavik including development models and a huge three dimensional model of Iceland.

We didn't go inside the City Hall building; but we did spend some time watching the ducks, geese, seagulls and swans at the lake. For bird lovers, this is a nice (and free) place to visit in Reykjavik.
Very interesting display of the city in minature with representations of future development. The floor is a street map of Reykjavik. There is also a topographic map of the whole island that shows where the volcanos are and the glaciers and mountians,
