Amazing tour with a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. People that work there must love their job. We had a beautiful northern lights tour even that you couldn't see anything in town where the starting point is - they know where to take you, they are very well prepared and in touch with different locations so each tour can go to a different place depending on the sky clarity, the forecast and insight info from their employees. You also get a delicious hot chocolate and some icelandic donuts that the guide prepared before the tour! Wonderful experience.

Excellent tour to the Myvatn area with Saga Travel, we enjoyed our day throughout. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Our tour was delivered even though we were only 2 passengers on that day, thank you very much to Saga Travel to have taken us around!! We had a great day!

From the very start to the very end, Saga Travel ensured that my trip to Iceland was absolutely magnificent. They helped me planning my trip, answered all of my questions (I had many) and always respected my limited budget. I am so happy they advised me to go north and take some tours departing from Akureyri - I have the best memories of them. I love that Saga Travel is a smaller company, you can absolutely feel the difference with bigger ones where you’re nothing but the next customer. Last but not least: a special shout-out to Jowita, who is too kind, always ready to help and very patient. Thank you so much for everything!

What an amazing experience! We went on this tour through GeoTravel and our guide was Bo ( American name). The entire trip was just fantastic. He drove our small group out to the lava fields and then we walked over the lava fields to get to the cave. We got helmets and boots, and safety tips and then Bo was with us the whole time helping us get through openings and to maneuver the entire cave, Just amazing to see those natural ice sculptures ( stalactites and stalagmites). WE got to spend about an hour in the cave which was perfect. Then on out drive back we stopped at a fissure where Bo explained the lava erupted to form the entire area. Loved every minute of this tour!

Hi As you are aware Saga Travel went bankrupt in late April 2020. Which was not only unfortunate for those travelers that had booked tours with the company, but also for the many employees and their families that relied on the operation. In November 2020 former employees purchased the name and website of Saga Travel to be reopened in 2021. We have now reopened under completely new ownership. We understand your frustration and we want to offer our assistance and support to resolve any issues that followed the bankruptcy. In order to do so we encourage you to reach out via our email or website.
