We enjoyed tasty Sunday brunch in Aboa Vetus Ars Nova museum. Buffet and self service, fresh and tasty salads, extra star for interesting surroundings and design in museum.

I visited Turku in September 2017 and went to the Aboa Vetus and Ars Nova museum. It's a weird combination of sort of two little museums mashed together, half about the very old history of Turku, and half a modern art museum. The history/archaeological part...More

This museum and gallery is worth a visit. The archeological section is fascinating and well presented. The integration of the actual ruins and museum is well done. The exhibition of the current young artist of the year was brilliant.

I visited this time only Aboa Vetus, the archeological part of the museum. It's interesting to see actual ruins and models from different times how the area has roughly looked. You can really imagine a Middle Age alley as staring the ruins! For kids there...More

Ars nova part of the museum is a very good place for a short pause from the hassle in the city. Nice small exhibition of high quality. (e. g. Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso with few guests and guards). Aboa Vetus part of the museum...More

This is two museums in one. It's an archaeological museum and a modern art museum. I think reviewers should be honest about their personal biases. Modern art typically isn't my thing. Even taking into account my disinterest in most modern art, I thought the modern...More

This was a fascinating look into life through old buildings buried underground for hundreds of years, good tours available by guides very recommended, I got to see what the area was like when my g-g-grandfather lived in this area
