This simple, beautiful chapel sits surprisingly unobtrusively here. One would think that its unique structure would make it seem out of place but it doesn't. There is something pleasing to the eye, a cone of natural beauty that compels you to venture inside. It is...More

Kammpi chapel is a lovely 'ark' like chapel that is serene in the inside, with very excellent architectural work done using quality timber. Inside the chapel, folks are totally quiet like they are reflecting through stuff, but I guess not quite .... it is just...More

When you are visiting Helsinki, you will most likely go to see Amos Rex, Oodi and Kiasma. Very near of Amos Rex there is the small wooden chappel, that is actually quite fantastic peace of architecture. The athomsphere is Nordic spirit in its best:100% “zen”.

This is a wonderful place to take a minute, breathe and relax. It is just a place to be pensive, grateful, and calm. I loved taking a moment in the midst of the city Holiday festivities to relax and enjoy the day. Great place for...More

If the shape doesn't capture your curiousity, the construction (typical of good Scandinavian woodwork) probably will. Regardless, do enter and enjoy a slice of bliss before continuing your visits in Helsinki. This is a beautiful location, to be enjoyed by all, regardless of faith.

Situated in a shopping area in central Helsinki, the Kamppi chapel is a stunning building made of wood. The orange colour certainly makes it stand out, but it is the wonderful atmosphere inside that makes it so special. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the peace...More

Loved the chapel of silence. Made from pine wood, it is amazing to behold. And once you go in, the feeling of calm and peace is another level. A must see for any visitor to Helsinki I feel.

It’s a very unique place to sit quietly. But lot of people walking in and out can disturb the peace. However evening sitting for a few minutes is a unique experience.

Right in the center of the busy shopping center of Helsinki you can find peace here. The glorious wooden structure welcomes everyone...as a non-denominational place to gather in peace. Such a beautiful and simple space...yet glorious in its intent and purpose. Stop...enjoy.
