It's a railway station, it's not a tourist site. You can get from one place to another but don't travel here to specifically see this. There is nothing to see.

I visited the station a number of times travelling through and to buy tickets for travelling around the city. I found the statues almost comic in their pretentiousness but you cannot help noticing the station as it is a good place to get trains to...More

A sight to behold, even if you are not into trains. The outside is very impressive. The ticket office / information office area before you go through on to the concourse is cathedral like. It's also even worth walking down one of the platforms to...More

This is a great building n the middle of the town. Semester to be quite busy. But the best offerrit has is the great connections to the airport. You seldon have to wait before the next train.

The central railway station is a really clean and simple transit hub. Unlike many other stations in european capitals.

If you are getting the train from the airport into Helsinki (and I’d recommend you do) this is where your journey concludes. It’s an amazing station, voted one of the world’s most beautiful stations by the BBC in 2013.

Such an amazing building. It's huge! And full of great stands as well as timely trains! Look for the special door that was used only once...great history here.

It's not often that you find something considered old that is still in use on a daily basis; such is the case with this Central Railway Station. The exterior architecture is what strikes you first, and when you go inside, you almost feel as if...More

The level of English in Helsinki is very high. If you can speak English then you can get along very easily in all tourist areas as well on transport.
