We had gorgeous 2 hours (probably even longer) rambling around Stockholm old centre with Alex. I would never have found out so much about the history and architecture of ancient and modern Gamla Stan myself. We like going on walking tours with local guides, have...More

I attended a free walking tour at 10am on Sunday. My tour guide was Albena, and she did such an excellent job. She was clearly very educated in the history of Stockholm, but most importantly, she loves her city. She told us numerous interesting stories...More

We enjoyed a very informative and friendly tour with Albena. She possessed a wealth of knowledge about Stockholm and Sweden, both historically and up to the present. I thoroughly recommend it.

We did the tour of Old Town with Cim as our tour guide. She was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! So funny and informative. I am usually not a guided tour type of person, but I throughly enjoyed this one.

I liked very much the city walking tour With Bryan who gave us a glimpse about Stockholm's and Sweden's history... His personal style adds more originality to the tour! Thanks Bryan! Yassine (from Morocco & France)

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with our guide, Ima. We had previously walked a “tourist route” through the Old Town, and seen endless souvenir and coffee shops. This tour took us away from the crowds into quiet narrow laneways. A perfect way to explore the...More

Our tour guide, Albana, was very knowledgeable about the Old Town. She briefly also toured us around the Royal Palace vicinity. It was an enjoyable hot, sunny day with a small group of tourists from all over the world. 2.5 hours was enough to give...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

Right outside the Gamlastan metro station. Both the city and old town tours start from there. They offer AM and PM tours.
