I've seen many info centres and this is the best I've experienced. The info at hand, the volunteers who are interested, engaging and knowledgeable, and the clean, tidy amenities and free camping next-door... well, what more could you ask for?!

This centre provided all the sound and accurate tourist information one could expect from such a centre. I was more than satisfied with the very pleasant and enthusiastic staff member.

Met two very nice ladies there. Advised us what 4 wheel drive tracks there are and advised us which ones would be suitable for our vehicle.

You can just turn up. :-) There is a store across the road and also a restaurant, or 12 minutes further north is Crows Nest, which has fuel and an IGA, takeaway, couple of cafes, and pub, amongst other shops.
