I would definitely recommend at least walking over to it if only to see the sculptures outside of it of the shipbuilders on their way to work. I passed by it on my way back into town after visiting the castle so it's not really out of the way. I would have gone inside but I was running out of time to meet up with my group!

It was off the main tourist path. It was a small museum and included with Copenhagen Card. There was a movie as well. It had many small model ships. The guy there, named Peter, was very friendly. He gave me all useful information to visit Helsingor area. If you are in the area, check it out and come by to say hello to the friendly Peter.

If, as we did, you have in your party someone interested in ship building, this museum is very nice. Knowledgeable staff will answer your questions and guide you through the fairly small museum exhibits, some of which are very interesting indeed! The entire surrounding area used to be a shipyard, and is undergoing redevelopment after it closed in the 80s. I'm not too sure it's worth the standalone entrance fee, but we had the Copenhagen Card (highly recommended) so it was a no brainer!
