This wonderful park is part of an expansive area of multiple attractions, the mermaid, the Fountain, St Alban's Church and the Kastellet. Plenty of open space full of trees for picnics and just being.

We came across this area whilst walking from the cruise terminal to the City Centre. It provides a very welcome alternative to traffic noise on surrounding roads. It has a number of pathways and green areas containing small lakes. It is not special, but nevertheless a peaceful and quiet area in which to relax within the city. We did not encounter many people during our time in the park, and wonder if it is a "hidden gem"

Stumbled upon the Churchillparken (Churchill Park) while on my way to see the little mermaid statue. Well worth a wonder around if your in the area an like military history as there are several statues to prominent Victoria Cross (VC) and other gallantry medal recipients both Danish and British recipients. As somebody previously commented in previous review which I think sums it up nicely “the name is bigger than the park”

A little park placed right next to Kastellet. It’s an absolutely common park, with nothing out of common. Only some old trees and green grass. That’s all. But the area is nice and peaceful. The good part is that at its border you can see the beautiful Gefionspringvandet fountain and the St Alban church, also very beautiful. At walking distance is the famous statue The Little Mermaid.

In Østerbro near the entrance to Kastellet, this lovely little park surrounds the spired Anglilcan St. Alban's Church.

There was a certain amount of confusion surrounding where the Churchill bust should be located in 1954-1955. Newspapers suggested Langelinie. Board members suggested Gronningen whilst others suggested a garden in Frederiksberg. By 2001 no one could remember anything on why it was there in the first place other than the logical relationship between the Museum for Danish Resistance and the English church. I suppose ultimately someone wanted it linked to the Heinrich Himmler eye patch in the Danish Museum for Resistance.

Churchillparken is a public park in Copenhagen located between Kastellet, a 17th-century fortress, and the street Esplanaden.
The park received its current name in 1965 to commemorate Winston Churchill and the British assistance in the liberation of Denmark during World War II.
St. Alban's Church, the Anglican church in Copenhagen, is located next to the park.

This is a nice enough little park and a nice commemoration of Churchill’s and Britain’s role in freeing Denmark from occupation. There is a nice bust of Churchill and the park is next to Kastellet, St. Albany’s Church and the wonderful Gefion Fountain. But as an attraction, there really isn’t much to see or do here.

if you decide to walk back to the city centre after your visit to The Little Mermaid,, after 200 metres you will come across Churchillparken. It's a pleasant park with busts of Allied heroes from WW2.

The place resembles a building site. It seems all the neighbours have done everything possible to cash in on the name Churchill but lack total knowledge on why the bust of Churchill is placed in the park. Now they want to create a new museum of Danish Resistance during the Danish acceptance of Nazi occupation in 1940. The visionary plan of the museum resembles a local Metro station. If only the dead could speak!

I photographed the statue of large women in a focused group, all supporting one, in this park 1975 but cannot find name of statue nor the sculptors name.
Statue is located behind a dark colored building not for from a marker with small table of and chairs
