We weren’t going to go to Montergarden, but it was included on our HC Andersen Ticket, so we didn’t want to ‘waste’ it. We were very impressed with Montergarden’s displays & archaeological pieces. It again gave us further insight into the early days of Denmark’s...More

We had free entry to this museum included with the HC Andersen temporary museum, so to be honest we probably wouldn't have gone otherwise. But I'm very glad we did because it is a very well put together museum about Odense from the stone age...More

We spent a good 2hrs at the Museum. It was very informative with great exhibits. Walking through the old homes and listening to and seeing how people of Odense lived in the 1600's was wonderful. Great for all ages.

There are some archeology and videos to describe the history and the geography of the place, hosted in a very impressive and interesting location.

If you are wandering around Odense's Old Town, this museum is worth a stop, if only to admire the handsome red brick building. The exhibits are a bit sparse, longer on descriptive text than on artifacts. Perhaps we'd been spoiled by Ribe and the Ringkoebing-Skjern...More

Not really a museum lover do keep that in mind with this rating. It was well set out with English descriptions available, was just a bit boring. I would like to see the building of the bridge added as part of funen history.
