Despite the pebbles, it is quite a nice beach to visit. But you will need shoes to go swimming, there are big slippery stones when you are entering the sea. The water was clear.

good tavernas around, there are also nice beaches. downtown is 6km away. Not noisy, not too many tourists, nice place

Daskalopetra took its name from Homer the poet .This is one of the most beautiful suburbs of chios. Thoukididis the historian mentioned chios and Homer in Peloponnesian war
