The market is ok to walk through. Most are cheap clothes, not worth our time, little fruit, and almost no local stuff, what you could expect or should expect in markets like this.

Walked all the way to see a virtually empty market. Not a lot open and nothing of value to see. Give it a miss.

Maybe it was a nice place but any more ' only few shops are open due the economice crisis that Greece had at the last years.

A beautiful undercover market Fish section Meat section Fruit and veg section Hardware Clothing Shoes Gifts Herbs Reasonable prices but negotiate prices! Lovely coffee bars surrounding here also!

Is better to visit after 10 AM, all stands will be open. Always ask to tasting, they are different taste for feta for ex. If you chose to rent an apartment like I did, you can buy lamb chops or fish to cook them home....More

most businesses and markets in Thessaloniki seem to open around 10am, with some groceries and of course cafes open earlier.
