The Hippodrome, the racing track, that was used for horse and chariot racing and such huge events, runs along a number of streets in the city centre, including Gounari, F. Eterias and Agapinou streets, as well as Plateia Ippodromiou. Obviously there are modern buildings now...More

Unable to see anything from the roman hippodrome. A place that you will see without understanding how important used to be.

One of the most famous city's squares where Roman Emperor Theodossios killed thousands of people. A high energy place. Today is famous for the numerous coffee shops and as a popular students' meeting point.
