We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The old town of Kavala (Panagia) is filled with beautiful narrow streets and historical attractions including the castle, the Imaret hotel and Muhhamed Ali’s house. There are also a few bars and gift shops that offer a very nice vibe. I recommend you don’t bring the car up the old town as it can get very narrow and it’s hard to find parking.

Panagia in Kavala is a wonderful place where you can go for a walk. I was there in 22 September 2017 and the pics are from then.

We were visiting Kavala on a cruise ship and the area known as Panagia is adjacent to the port where our ship was docked. Panagia is the old town, which is situated on a small hill, and centres on the castle. It is easy to get to and well worth some time. Definitely go into the castle - the best views are from in there.

Visited here after hiring a car and driving around the island. We visited the Fountain of Love which is a little way up the town (best to ask for directions from a local shop)
Had lunch in a roadside taverna which was full of locals, always a good sign. Lots of shops to pop in and out of and everyone was very friendly

The old part of Kavala is a must for tourists. It is a pleasure to have a walk in the small winding, often steep streets. Most of the old houses are small, picturesque and well preserved; the new houses try to keep the old style. There is two museums, lot of cafes, restaurants, gift shops.
