The castle isn't too big, but offers great 360 g views over Kavala from its tower. It can't be accessed by car, but the walk till the gate isn't that long and difficult. The entrance is 2.5 € and it closes at 9PM

You have to work a little to be upthere but the view is simply fantastic. You need to pay to visit the castle. 2,5 euro charge for adults and 1,5 euro charge for children. In 2018.

It’s definitely not an option to go there by car! Still, easy to find while exploring the small streets of the old town. Entrance is 2,50€, not that bad, to appreciate the 360 degree view from the tower!

Wonderful place for walking on such a historical place. There are labels with its history in many places inside the yard.
