We drove up to the castle after some trouble en route when helpful shop owner told us that the road was closed! We eventually found the route via Pantelli a couple of days later. The direction sign is visible only to people driving north! We...More

There isn’t much to see of the castle itself but the views are stunning. Go up early or late it’s quite a steep and hot climb. 400 steps apparently, but once there it’s well worth the toil and the lady custodian is lovely. She gave...More

Great views, unfortunately we were not able to visit with the caretaker. But well worth minimal 2 euro entrance

The castle and museum are well worth a visit. After a long walk up, very steep paths at times, the sense of achievement you get is secondary to the views of the island you get from the top. The castle has a museum with many...More

High above everything on the island, the castle and church are well worth the walk to the top. Lovely lady named Bella was very informative of the history of the church and area. Explored the castle ruins and enjoyed the view of the buildings and...More

This is the place from which to see the sunset. Walk up from Ag. Marina once the heat of the day has cooled off. The castle closes at seven p.m and is well worth a visit during opening times. Entrance to the church is free...More

Firstly if you are going to walk make sure you have plenty of water and even more energy. It's a good hour from the town and if you're not up to walking take a taxi or rent a car. The views at the top are...More

Extremely beautiful view and a nice castle! A very nice way to see the beauty of Leros from above! Tip: after visiting the castle, move on to the little church, and the mills for more brilliant views! Recommended visit around sunset.
