Pyrgaki Beach is located at the south-west of Naxos, 20km from the port and the airport and is an ideal destination for all those who want to enjoy their holidays in a quiet and extremely beautiful environment. The high Northern winds cannot reach the area because of the location of the beach.Pyrgaki Beach is an area protected by the NATURA 2000 network because of its rare natural beauty which combines sea and cedars.

This was pretty and large beach. When we arrived there were only three other people and they eventually left, so we had the entire place to ourselves. It is a nice swimming beach too. Not too rocky and it gets deep quickly so you can...More

A very large and beautiful sandy beach, mostly "uncontaminated" by human presence. The only drawback was that it was extremely windy and there were very few sunbeds and umbrellas, therefore it was a bit difficult to find a place to stay comfortably (there are a...More

Plenty of on street parking at back of beach. Beach has coarse white sand but some areas have rocky bottoms which make it good for snorkelling. First part closest to road had some trees for shade and sea with a sandy bottom. It also had...More

The other beaches may have higher ratings but this is the best family beach hands down. The main section with umbrellas is all sand all the way into the waters, which are sparkling clear a very shallow entry. Best swimming we enjoyed on the island...More

Naxos has many brilliant beaches and most of golden sand. Pyrgaki is good for kite surfing but on calmer days is good for swimming and beach activities (doing not a lot!)

This is a huge expanse of fine sand and, despite being the height of the summer season, there was hardly anyone there. There is a hotel where you can buy drinks if you wish, otherwise there's hardly anything here other than sand and more sand....More
