Too many tourists. Very built up with bars and cafes. Packed in like sardines. Go a bit further down to Kaflati which has two bays and is secluded and much more beautiful the Plaka.

Wonderful white sand, windy so make sure you put sun cream on as you can burn very easily. Crystal clear water, the beach slopes into the sea.

Visited all of the top beaches in Naxos and Plaka was my favorite. Rented 2 beach chairs with umbrella on the second row for €12. Sat in the Pietros restaurant section and order lunch beachside. Their Greek yogurt with fruits was so refreshing and delicious....More

Was there first week in May and bus did not run till second week. Stayed near Maragas on Plaka beach which was sandy.
