Nothing like watching a movie under the stars on the island of Crete! As a filmmaker myself, this is an experience not to be missed.

Great experience to watch a film under the stars. Thought the picture quality might be suspect, but was perfect and the sound system was impressive. All for 5 Euro and no adverts to sit through. Thoroughly recommended.

The Asteria Open Air Cinema shows newly released films in their original language with Greek subtitles. The cinema is surrounded by trees and has a powerful audio system which drowns out any local noise. There is a refreshment kiosk which sells popcorn, cheese nachos, beer...More
