Standard fountain, in a nice cobbled setting in downtown Herkalion. Wouldnt go out of your way to visit, but if you are passing by while shopping or grabbing a bite to eat take a look.

It was lovely sitting near the Lions Fountain. Such a tranquil sort of setting amongst the throng of noisy tourists of which I was one. A place to sit and people watch, rest and re-energise.

This is the main feature in the urban landscape of Heraklion. Aroubd this fountain you will have the better restaurants and coffes.

Nice fountain in a central Hiraklion city. Venizelos square. Touristic ways. Open in 1628 for applied needs. There were fresh water for the citizens.

A pitty it took us ages to find due to the amout of souviner shops and restaurants around we nearly missed it! Nice fountain that needs some love.

The fountain is located in Lion's Square in the center of Heraklion where there are numerous cafes surrounding the square. It was designed to bring drinking water to the Heraklion citizens in the 17th century.
