I rate this beach highly because of the emotions I experienced there. We arrived there by a ship, and while we were swimming, the crew was cooking tasty meat for us.

its a bit of a walk especially on a hot morning but well worth the trouble, we went there many times on this trip and it was never busy at all, lucky maybe but beautiful and some great walks to other coves.
Walked from Elounda over the hill. Took about 35 mins from our apartment at Alikes across the causeway and along the marked path. Very dusty track shared with lots of cars with hair raising overtaking on the cliff edges.

Absolutely stunning beach with amazing clear waters. All the tour boats stop there for food so locals recommend visiting after 5pm. I found that the boats usually left by 3pm. Definitely worth a visit!
