The whole 'island' and bay of Kolokytha heading out past the Basilica to Ancient Olous has more history than a holiday can cope with... it is also beautiful, offers healthy walks and you can get refreshments and a meal at the Kanali or Art Cafe...More

I have to say that unless you are diving that most of this will be left to your imagination. The water is very clear and on a non windy day you can see the outline of the old walls and a few indeterminate objects but...More

Nice walk past the sunken city walls.Has it approaches on the left had side. Take confortable shoes and watch the mad taxis whizzing past you ideal for fishing further up off the mad busy road and a beach which is nice on the left.Highly reccomend...More

If you are in Elounda and decide to take a boat to Spinalonga, you can go and see Olous without any hesitation. But this place is not worth travelling specifically for it. There is not really much to see there, there are only stones just...More

We stayed in apartments near this location, there are lovely places to walk and vantage points to take in the views, a couple of bars to pop into and a small but very nice beach....well worth the visit

We wandered over the bridge , over the spit, to check out Kanali for a last meal in the area and view the sunken city remains. Not a great deal to see and maybe a better option would have been the snorkelling or diving path......More

A little piece of Cretan history in the centre of Elounda read up about it before your visit otherwise it will look just like large rocks

Definitely worth a walk round to here. Its beautiful clear waters and you can see some of the sunked remains popping out the water.

There a little train that takes you there or if you like walking you could walk it's not far from the main strip in elounda
