We went swimming in this bay a couple of times and some of the family went snorkeling. They saw parts of what would have been walls and also lots of large stones, possibly from buildings. Lots of fish of differing sizes and species. In all...More

Snorkeling on this ruined city was interesting. Our guide showed us the roads, market place, stairways of the city ruined c1630 BC by a tsunami caused by the earthquake and volcanic eruption in Santorini. The sea was so clear that it was a pleasure tp...More

So intriguing! I tried to find out more info on it but there wasn’t a massive amount available. Such a shame.... it’s like there own Atlantis!

We didn't see any of the sunken town, but we had a nice walk over to the island and found a small beach which was nice, so go for the walk, not the history.

I've been across the causeway and I've seen some of the streets and houses, on a good day of light. If you can snorkel well it is for you! You will not find Atlantis! Who knows what you may find as it is generally untouched.

We brought our snorkel gear to have a good explore but it was too windy and rough, so cannot comment on what is below surface. Above, not much to see.
