Take the time to visit here if you pass by. It is worth a quick look inside for this type of church. Square can be full of local life especially at night.

I marveled at the setting of this old church. The interior was cool and a nice place to sit down and admire the ornate decorations.

This church is actually unlocked and visitors can tour it. It's a beautiful church located near the indoor market. The architecture resembles a church that you would see in Venice. The interior of the church is also worth visiting.

The 1821 square this church stands on has a sad story of the Turks hanging the clergy from the church at the old plane tree

Refurbishing a mosque, to a beautiful orthodox small church, is a good touch. Don't miss the small gorgeous catholic hidden inside the building on the opposite side of the main street.

Beautiful interior with stained glass, marble tiles, pillars, etc. No pews, some chairs for the elderly...light a candle and say a prayer.

This was one of the places we visited in Chania Town. Not being of Greek Orthodox faith, we found it interesting to see the many icons, statues, pictures, goblets, etc. displayed. The quiet atmosphere inside was appreciated as we sat in the wooden seats and...More
