The maritime museum was most interesting and we learnt a lot about the WW2 Cretan involvement. Very sad tale.

The most interesting part of the museum for me was the section upstairs regarding the WWII Battle of Crete and the various things on display in that section.

Great day out with amazing displays and informative film and exhibits. The Battle of Crete room should be on every schools visit list.

Good little place to spend an hour looking at maritime history of Crete. Full size replica of 2000 yr old sailing ship is the highlight.

Well curated models and selection of subjects of how maritime history and development influenced Cretan & Greek History. Also a room devoted to Battle of Crete in 1941.A must see for all visitors from the Antipodes.

Check on the times for the musuem and give yourself time to look at and read the history of the area. It is rich in maritime and war history with lots of artifacts. Morning is the best time to go. Definitely worth a visit!
