A place with such history degraded to a tourist trap. You can buy genuine Cretan products here! Olive oil, honey, herbs and wooden spoon. Basically the same as you find all over Chania. See one, see them all.

Narrow walkways Variety of items for sale Hustle and bustle Locals at work Local trades and arts This is an amazing place to visit to see some authentic Cretian residents going about their business. A great place to visit. A must in fact.

We stumbled across the market literally by accident. We are glad we did. It is a real sense and taste of Greece and real opportunity to see locals going about their daily business. A real good place to visit and see local Chania.

Great spot to check out if you are in Chania. It has all the usual terrible souvenirs for sale, but it also has authentic restaurants, local products, butchers, fish, vegetables, etc. Worth a walk through.

Plenty to look at and keep you amused. Watch you don’t part with too much money! There’s everything imaginable here.

Built between 1909 and 1913. It was inspired on the covered market of Marseilles and known as the "Agora". Great place to walk around and not to miss when in Chania!

A local market for the locals selling their local produce. Interesting collection of vegetables, cheeses, oil wine honey on the lower road, the upper section is mainly clothes and household items

Don't know the times exactly. When I was there it was open Monday to Saturday early in the morning until 8 in the evening.
