We drove from Hersonissos especially to visit the monastery and it was all closed. Fabulous views but the long drive up twisting and turning hairpin bends wasn’t really worth it! Not sure if the monastery is permanently closed but I would recommend checking before visiting.

The drive up to the monastery was great with beautiful views all the way up. It is very peaceful when you reach the monastery. The monastery itself is not too much look at, but the view is great.
