We drove from Hersonissos especially to visit the monastery and it was all closed. Fabulous views but the long drive up twisting and turning hairpin bends wasn’t really worth it! Not sure if the monastery is permanently closed but I would recommend checking before visiting.

The drive up to the monastery was great with beautiful views all the way up. It is very peaceful when you reach the monastery. The monastery itself is not too much look at, but the view is great.

A peaceful and tranquil place with brilliant views the road up to it just seems to go on forever twisting and winding how on earth did they build that high up but so worth it.

The drive up to the monastery is lovely; winding roads (well paved), great views and goat herds along the road and hillside. The monastery is well kept and beautiful. The caretaker gave us a private tour and showed us the chapel inside the cave and...More

Nothing more and nothing less than a typical orthodox church. You won't loose nothing if you don't visit.
