This is not a subway metro. You need to buy a recharble card and use it therefore. A bit complicated. It goes from downtown to the beach-matosinhos and conde.

Metro lines are easy to use. It was convenient to buy and charge tickets. Buy a multi pass ticket. Metro in Porto is clean and cheap. It is also really safe working till midnight.

For such a small city they have a lovely metro. Goes also to the airport. Goes across the river to the other side. Was very clean and easy to manage travelling on the system.

AT the metro station, we grabbed the pamphlet with the schedule on it. We tucked it in our backpack for reference. You should be able to get the info there or on the website. Good luck!
